“The Heirs” star Matthew McFayden has found himself a major new television project. The newly minted Emmy Award winner will play a major role in the production project of the creators of “Game of Thrones” David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Bernadette Caulfield “Death by Lightning” (“Death by Lightning” – translation “Film News”). The upcoming Netflix series will partner Matthew McFayden with Michael Shannon (“The Shape of Water”) in the second lead role.

What is the series “Death by Lightning” about?
The series by its creator and showrunner Mike Makowski (“The Riddler”) is based on the book “Destiny of the Republic: A Story of Madness, Medicine, and the Assassination of a President” by Candice Millard and is about the rise to power of U.S. President James Garfield (Michael Shannon) and his subsequent assassination by Charles Guiteau (Matthew McFayden).
