James May was born on January 16, 1963 in Bristol, England. His passion for automobiles was evident in his childhood and he always dreamt of a career related to the world of automobiles. After graduating from high school and college, he began his career as a journalist, writing articles about cars for various publications.

However, the real fame came to James May after he joined the team of the TV show “Top Gear” in 1999. With his inimitable style, eccentric jokes and expert knowledge about cars, he became one of the three hosts of this iconic car show.
