The original 1958 classic science fiction film, whose budget was around $88,000, tells the story of Nancy, a wealthy heiress with bad habits. An unexpected contact with a giant alien transforms her into a giant woman herself. Her already troubled marriage to her endlessly cheating husband is now complicated by her new physical form. The film was directed by Nathan Juran and starred Allison Hayes, William Hudson and Yvette Vickers in the lead roles. After the release of the film, it was decided to make a sequel, but this did not happen. The film has a 1993 remake, “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman” with Daryl Hannah and a parody, “Attack of the 60 Foot Centrefold”.
